Matching Grant for a library and Media Center for Public Grade School in Barrio Blanco, Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic. Items purchased: 1,549 new library books, hardware for shelves, added security for the library/ media center room, purchased three computers, one printer, hardware and software, power backup system, training for librarian for six months service contract for power system.

Currently, the school has a very old and obsolete library with no media lab. A new reference library will give the children of this very poor area a better opportunity to learn. A good education is a gateway to the world.

Secured shipping into Dominican Republic and then to the city of Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic.

The Rotary Club presented the library and media center to the Public Grade School in Barrio Blanco, Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic on February 9^Th 2006.
